MGM National Harbor: Culinary Masters

 

Who doesn’t love food?? When it comes to regions and countries all over the world, cuisine is an art that only a few can really master. MGM is adding some great chefs to their culinary family; tourists and Maryland, DC and Virginia natives anticipates the culinary mastery and decadence this hotel and casino plans to bring to the table.

First up, is world-renowned, award-winning and cookbook author chef, Marcus Samuelsson, who’s culinary resume’ precedes his abilities, Chef Marcus has cooked for The Obamas and winner of Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters” Season 2. With restaurants in Harlem, NY and Bahamas – Chef Marcus can now add Maryland’s National Harbor to that list. “I’m super excited to be partnering with MGM on the opening of this hotel in National Harbor. It is a real privilege to be a part of such a great collection of chefs….,” stated Samuelsson.

MGM decided that a brother duo would be better than just having one open in the hotel, authentic collaboration is the synergy here. Maryland natives, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio have decide that this would take this opportunity to collaborate for the first ever in this kitchen venture. We are hoping that the two will take this region’s culinary inspirations and bring it new life. “We couldn’t have asked for a better partner to bring us together in our home town. By creating a world class experience where guests can eat, sleep, and play, MGM National Harbor is setting the stage for an exciting family reunion!”

Chef Jose’ Andres will introduce his first seafood-focused concept overlooking the Potomac from the prow of MGM National Harbor. Chef Andres is named one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People”  as well as other accolades in Bon Appetit and Conde’ Nast Traveler. Having attributed groundbreaking avant-garde cuisine in a group of restaurants throughout the country, from Washington, DC, Miami, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. “I’m thrilled to be announcing my first seafood restaurant in what will be the iconic MGM National Harbor, said Chef Andres.
